The areas of prayer cover the spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational aspects of life our boys face or will face. Each topic starts with scriptures pertaining to it followed by a heartfelt prayer. This book can be read cover to cover or used topically as the needs arise.

“A Prayer Story”: Interspersed throughout the topics of prayer are stories from real parents who have seen the power of answered prayer. From a mom still in the young years of raising boys, I appreciated a look into how others have walked the road ahead of me and have seen God answer the prayers they prayed for their sons.
A Deeper Look into the Topics: Mixed in are also special sections that take a little deeper look into specific topics. These deeper looks provide valuable insight into some of the deeper issues in his life and how we as parents can help or hinder in those issues from his relationship with God to failures to idols.
My Thoughts
As a mom of three boys, this is a resource I will turn to time and time again. I particularly appreciate the applicable scripture at the beginning of each topic so that I can dig deeper into the Word of God as I pray for specific aspects of my sons’ lives. I plan to snag a copy of the Teigen’s book Powerful Prayers for Your Daughter so I can have a great resource for covering her in prayer just as I am her brothers.
